Edwin "El Chapo" Rosario (March 15, 1963 – December 1, 1997) was a Puerto Rican boxer. He won the lightweight championship three times, as the WBC lightweight champion (1983–84), and the WBA champion (1986–87) and (1989–90). After moving up to the junior welterweight class, he won the WBA championship, holding the title from 1991 to 1992. Offered here is an original New York State Athletic Commission Boxer-Manager agreement dated May 27, 1988 between Edwin Rosario, Hall of Fame manager William Cayton (who also managed Mike Tyson, Tommy Morrison and Wilfred Benitez).
This is a one page, typed, New York State Athletic Commission Boxer-Manager Contract. Boldly signed by both Edwin Rosario and William Cayton ink at the bottom and signatures are witnessed by Commission representatives and Chairman. Clean front and back. Includes original folds. Staple hole at top left corner. Creases at top and bottom borders. Minor edge wear. 8 1/2" x 14."
