HISTORY: This is original cartoon art by noted cartoonist Ted Carroll entitled "Styles Upset The Odds." It deals with the upset victories of Jim Braddock over Max Baer (1935), Joey Giardello over Dick Tiger and Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston (1964), as predicted by Cassius Clay. Ted Carroll was an important sports writer and cartoonist during the mid 20th century. His work, particularly in boxing is widely recognized as among the most important of the era. His work regularly appeared in The Ring (Magazine) and other independent works.
