John L. Sullivan was born on October 15, 1858 in Roxbury, Boston, MA. He is the link between bare knuckles and glove fighting and is considered to be one of the best heavyweights ever. Presented here is an extremely rare cabinet card proof of John L. Sullivan, circa 1882.
This cabinet card proof of John L. Sullivan is 9" x 14." It is extremely rare and was done by Mora. It includes three poses of John L. Sullivan and other celebrities of the day. There are small rips along the top and bottom edges. The images of Sullivan are clean.
