TURNER, GIL-AL ANDREWS ORIGINAL WIRE PHOTO (1954)

On August 18, 1954 at Chicago Stadium welterweights Gil Turner and Al Andrews met in the main event. Turner won a hard fought ten round unanimous decision. The supposedly light-punching Andrews hurt Turner in the last round and had him in serious trouble. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action in the 10th round.
