On July 4,1919 Jack Dempsey would fight Jess Willard for the Heavyweight Title. In a brutal fight, Willard would be knocked down several times. Dempsey would win the bout by TKO in 3 rounds. Presented here is an original wire photo of Jack Dempsey taken on May 23, 1919, about 5 weeks before this historic fight.
