Kid Fredericks aka George Johnson (born Charles Johnson 2/15/1883-died 1957) was an American lightweight contender from Buffalo, New York. He fought from 1900 to 1912 amassing a record of 31-0-13. In his career he fought many leading contenders including Aurelio Herrera, Stanley Ketchel and Cy Flynn. Offered here is an original, first generation, mounted, antique photo of Fredericks dating to circa 1904 when he was at the height of his career.

Bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. Tack hole at top center of mount. Minor surface wear at image. Edge and corner wear. 5 3/4" x 8." Rare, the only we have seen.
