GRIFFO, YOUNG ORIGINAL ANTIQUE PHOTO

Young Griffo was born on April 15, 1869 in Sofala, New South Wales, Australia. He defeated Billy Murphy on September 2, 1890 to win the World 126-pound Title. He retired after fighting Honey Mellody on September 25, 1911 with a final record of 69-12-43 with 48 no decisions, 1 no contest and 20 KO's. Presented here is a mounted antique photo of Griffo.
