On March 22, 1929 at Madison Square Garden in New York welterweights Ray Miller and Jimmy McLarnin squared off in an important divisional matchup. McLarnin got revenge for an earlier loss at the hands of Miller winning a unanimous ten round decision. The promoter was Tom McArdle. The gross receipts were $83,000.00 and former champion Jack Dempsey was in the audience. Offered here is a rare, original wire photo of the two fighters weighing in on the day of the bout.
