Henry Armstrong was the first man to hold three World Titles at the same time. He accomplished this in 1938 when he defeated Lou Ambers to win the World Lightweight Title. He had previously defeated Petey Sarron in 1937 to win the World Featherweight Title and Barney Ross in 1938 to win the World Welterweight Title. A deeply religious man, he had his autobiography published in 1956 entitled, Gloves, Glory and God. Presented here is a business check from Triple Champion Enterprise dated December 16, 1955 which has been boldly signed on the front by Henry Armstrong.
This is an original business check. Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. Minor soiling on upper border. Boldly signed by Henry Armstrong in ink. 3" x 8 1/2." Authenticated by JSA with their full auction letter.
