Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895 in Manassa, Colorado. He defeated Jess Willard on July 4, 1919 to win the World Heavyweight Title and held the title until September 23, 1926 when he lost to Gene Tunney. Dempsey announced his retirement in February of 1928 with a final record of 64-6-9 with 49 KO's. Presented here is a signed sheet of paper from Philadelpia Baseball Club.
This is an ink signature of Jack Dempsey on Philadelphia baseball Club Stationary.The piece measures 7 inches by 8 1/2 inches.The signature is in green ink and is smudged at the top where it says "Good luck Pals".The rest of the signature is clean.The paper has a fold down the middle and some creasing in the right corner.
