Known as "Bobcat",Bob Montgomery turned professional in 1938. He defeated Beau Jack for the lightweight world championship on May 21, 1943, and lost the title to Jack in a return match on November 19, 1943. Presented here is a ink signature on an album page that was personalized by Montgomery. From the collection of former Boxing Illustrated writer Ralph Pollack who had the album page signed by Bob Montgomery in the mid 1940's at Stillman's Gym in New York City.
This is an original paper album page. Bold ink signature, "Bob Montgomery To Ralph Good Luck." Clean with only light toning from aging. Not creased or torn. Edge wear. 4 3/8" x 5 1/4."
