Richard (Rick) Francis Dennis Barry III (born March 28, 1944, in Elizabeth, New Jersey) is an American former professional basketball player. He is considered by many veteran basketball observers to be the greatest pure small forward of all time as a result of his lethal shot, uncanny court vision, knowledge and execution of team defense principals, tenacious and oft-times demanding spirit and unorthodox but highly accurate style of underhand free throw shooting (in schools, it's often called a "Granny Shot".) Barry was an All-Pro forward for the Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association (ABA) from 1965-1979. Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in history by the NBA in 1996, Barry is the only player in history to have led the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), ABA and NBA in scoring for an individual season.Presented here is a prediction from Barry on the Ali-Frazier II bout signed by Barry.
