HISTORY: On February 27, 1911 at the National Sporting Club in Coventry, United KIngdom lightweights Matt Wells and Freddy Welsh battled for the British and European Lightweight Championship. Wells prevailed winning a 20 round decision and the Earl of Londale belt. Offered here is a rare, original souvenir silk made to commemorate the victory of Matt Wells in this event.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original souvenir silk which pictures Matt Wells. Bold color and bold print. Bold, clear image. Has some mild spotting and a few small holes. Approximately 36" x 36." Exceedingly rare, the only we have seen.
