Regular price $1,250.00

HISTORY: On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1945, at Chicago Stadium welterweights Sugar Ray Robinson and George Costner met in the featured bout. Robinson dominated and knocked Costner out in the very first round. The attendance was 20,193 with a gate of $94,120. (Reportedly the largest indoor professional boxing crowd at this venue since the Jack Dempsey-King Levinsky exhibition. Tacoma News Tribune) Costner shook up Robinson with a right to the chin, but Robinson retaliated and soon dropped Costner into a sitting position with a left hook. Costner got onto one knee but couldn't get off the floor before being counted out. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event.
