HISTORY: On September 29, 1977 at New York's Madison Square Garden, Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali defended his title against tough challenger Earnie Shavers. Ali won a close 15 round decision. Ali was wobbled in the 2nd and 14th rounds, but had enough to survive. The fight was a huge financial success. The Garden was sold out and NBC which televised it live had incredible ratings, a tribute to Ali's drawing power.

Boldly signed on the backhand in silver pen, "Ali said "Shavers hit me so hard, it shook my kin folk in Africa" Earnie Shavers." Clean with no noticeable flaws. 12" long.
