On April 28, 1903 at Mechanic's Pavilion in San Francisco lightweights Jimmy Britt and Willie Britt fought in a fight billed for 'white' American 133lb title. This was a promotion of the Yosemite A.C. Britt won a 20 round decision. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph taken by the notable Dana Studios depicting the two fighters in the ring squaring off before the fight began.
