MCLARNIN, JIMMY-LOU BROUILLARD OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1932)

On August 4, 1932 at Yankee Stadium in New York welterweights Jimmy McLarnin and Lou Brouillard met in the main event. Brouillard prevailed winning a ten round decision. The referee and one judge voted for Brouillard, the other judge for McLarnin. The New York Times noted that Brouillard "pounded and battered McLarnin through ten rounds of primitive fighting to gain a decision that met with the undivided support of the onlookers."
