HISTORY: Hector "Macho" Camacho was born on May 24, 1962 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He won the NABF Super Featherweight Title on December 11, 1981 from Blaine Dickson. He won the WBC Super Featherweight Title on November 18, 1983 from Rafael Solis. On April 29, 1985 he won the NABF Lightweight Title in a bout with Roque Montoya. Later that August, he fought Jose Luis Ramirez and won the WBC Lightweight Title. He briefly retired after fighting C. Boza-Edwards on September 26, 1986 with a final record of 30-0 with 15 KO's. He has fought into the 1990's against Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran and others. On November 20, 2012, Camacho was shot and seriously wounded while sitting in a car outside a bar in his native Bayamón; the driver, a childhood friend, was killed in the shooting. Camacho died four days later; after he was declared clinically brain dead, his mother requested the doctors remove him from life support. Presented here are a pair of boxing trunks which have been signed by Hector "Macho" Camacho.
