Primo Carnera, "The Ambling Alp," won the World Heavyweight Title from Jack Sharkey on June 29, 1933. He made two successful defenses before losing it to Max Baer in 1934. Presented here is an original Italian 1933 fob-coin commemorating Primo Carnera as World Champion.
This original fob-coinpictures Primo Carnera on the front and is done in a relief. His name is above his image. On the reverse is stated, "PRIMO CARNERA CAMPIONE MONDIALE D BOXE NUOVA YORK 28 GIVGNO 1933 XI." In fine condition. Bold image. Beautifully crafted medal fob. Extremely rare, the only example I have seen. One inch in diameter.
