HISTORY: On June 28, 2014 at the Centurylink Center in Omaha, Nebraska WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford made his first defense against Yuriorkis Gamboa. Crawford stopped Gamboa in the 9th round.  Terence Crawford 23-0 (16 KOs) vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa 23-0 (16 KOs) Gamboa opened as a slight 1.75-to-1 betting underdog.  Crawford entered as the #2 lightweight contender in the world according to The Ring Magazine Gamboa, who was making just his second appearance at the 135 lb. limit, was unranked by the publication due to inactivity. Gamboa entered having not fought in over a year. He was arrested in November for two misdemeanor battery charges for domestic violence and also during that span was implicated in the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal that mainly engulfed Major League Baseball. Of note, Gamboa was not suspended as he did not fail a test, but rather had his name listed on company documents. It was the first professional fight for Crawford in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. The fight will be only the second world title bout in Omaha history. In 1972, 15 years before Crawford was born, Joe Frazier defended the heavyweight championship against Omaha's Ron Stander at the Civic Auditorium and knocked him out in the fifth round to retain the title. Offered here is an original, Media Credential for the Crawford-Gamboa fight,
