ZIVIC, FRITZIE-AL "BUMMY" DAVIS I FULL TICKET (1940)

On November 15, 1940 at Madison Square Garden in New York leading welterweights Fritzie Zivic and Al "Bummy" Davis met in the main event. Zivic won in the second round when Davis was disqualified. Davis was floored in the first round. In round two, Zivic thumbed Davis in the eyes and this caused Bummy to completely lose his temper. He landed at least ten low blows, and was disqualified; then he kicked the referee and attempted to resume the fight with Zivic. Offered here is an original, full, unused ticket for this event.
This is an original, full unused ticket which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. 2 1/4" x 6."
