HISTORY: Muhammad Ali fought George Foreman on October 30, 1974 in Kinshasa.Given little chance, Ali knocked Foreman out in the 8th round to win the World Heavyweight Title. Offered here are a pair of sparring gloves used by Muhammad Ali at his training camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania in June, 1974 while he was preparing for this fight. Offered here is a glove used by Muhammad Ali while training for this fight which he has inscribed and signed.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a red leather, left handed training glove with a manufacturer's label for SEYER at the wrist. It is signed across the backhand in ink, "Muhammad Ali The Title will be Mine! The "Mummy" will Fall 19-74, and he added a stick figure next to the year." Also signed by his father, "Cassius M. Clay" and his assistant trainer, "Peace Drew Bundini Brown." Glove originated from Ali collector Peter Morkovin who got this from the man who was given the glove in 1974 at Ali's training camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania. That person noted on the thumb, "Glove given to me by Ali deer Lake, PA 1974 used in training. No laces. Glove in nice condition. Signatures are bold. Letter of authenticity from Peter Morkovin. Letters of Authenticity from Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc., PSA/DNA and Mike Gutierrez.
