Regular price $425.00

HISTORY: On February 22, 1930 at Recreation Park in San Francisco welterweights Jackie Fields and Young Corbett III battled in a non title main event. Corbett III prevailed winning a ten round decision. Corbett outpointed the champion in the early rounds with his "slashing, choppy" southpaw style. By the tenth Corbett was in a bad way, as he had grown weaker while Fields grew stronger, although Fields opened up too late to gain the decision. At the end of the bout Fields raised his own arm, but Referee Jim Griffin boosted Corbett's glove into the air, which "amazed" Fields. The verdict was popular with the crowd(UP). Offered here is an original, full, unused ticket to this event which has been signed by Young Corbett III.
