ALI, MUHAMMAD SIGNED LIFE MAGAZINE (1971-FRAZIER FIGHT)

Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He won the World Heavyweight Title from Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964. He announced his retirement in February of 1970 but was back in the ring later that October. He won the NABF Heavyweight Title On July 26, 1971 in a bout with Jimmy Ellis. He regained the World Heavyweight Title when he fought George Foreman in Zaire on October 30, 1974. He retired after losing to Trevor Berbick on December 11, 1981 with a final record of 56-5 with 37 KO's. Offered here is a signed original LIFE magazine which covered the first fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1971.
This is a complete LIFE magazine for March 19, 1971 which includes a cover photograph from the first fight between Ali and Frazier and 9 color pages of coverage and action from the fight. Has a small mailing label on the front. Signed boldly, "Muhammad Ali" in sharpie with a small heart added under the signature. Clean issue. Not creased. Not written in. 10 1/2" x 13 1/4."
