Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He won the World Heavyweight Title from Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964. He announced his retirement in February of 1970 but was back in the ring later that October. He won the NABF Heavyweight Title On July 26, 1971 in a bout with Jimmy Ellis. He regained the World Heavyweight Title when he fought George Foreman in Zaire on October 30, 1974. He retired after losing to Trevor Berbick on December 11, 1981 with a final record of 56-5 with 37 KO's. Presented here is a souvenir promotional program of Muhammad Ali which dates to early 1972. It has been signed in vintage hand on the cover by Muhammad Ali and his camp assistant Gene Kilroy.
This is an original promotional program consisting of 8 pages with photos, his record, and a brief biography. His record runs to his fight with Juergen Blin dating the program to early 1972. Boldly signed in vintage blue ink on the cover by Muhammad Ali, who has added his home and camp telephone numbers. Also signed in blue ink by Gene Kilroy, an Ali camp assistant. On Jan.29 1977 MUHAMMAD ALI fought a two round exibition fight with a local New Bedford boxer Jerry Houston and Ali signed the fight book and also wrote his home and fight camp number on the book for him. Tight binding. Clean inside and out with no writing. Has some edge nicks along lower border. 7 1/2" x 10."
