Max Baer was born on February 11, 1909 in Omaha, Nebraska. He began his professional boxing career on May 16, 1929. He stopped Primo Carnera in 11 rounds on June 14, 1934 in Long Island City to win the Heavyweight Title. He lost it to James J. Braddock on June 13, 1935. He posted a career record of 70-13. In addition to Carnera he had victories over Max Schmeling, Tommy Farr, Tom Heeney and King Levinsky. Presented here is a signed studio portrait of Max Baer, signed as world heavyweight champion.
