On March 13, 1970 at the Olympic Park Velodrome in Melbourne, Australia former world middleweight champion Nino Benvenuti fought Tom Bethea. Bethea stopped Benvenuti in the 8th round. Benvenuti quit with a rib injury. He had been knocked down in the 7th round. On March 7, 1970 at the same venue bantamweight Lionel Rose banged a unanimous ten round decision over Don Johnson. Offered here is a rare, official program which covers both events which has been signed by Don Johnson and an undercard fighter.
This is an original, official program which pictures Rose and Benvenuti on the cover. 14 pages complete with list of bouts. Not scored. Several autographs inside. Has a center crease. Tight binding. Clean inside and out. Minor edge and surface wear. Tack holes at upper right. 6 3/4" x 9 1/2."
