George (Jorge) Brescia (3/1/15-12/22/89)was an Argentine heavyweight who fought between 1935 and 1940 compiling a record of 16-12. Brescia fought Joe Louis in a non title bout and also fought Tony Galento, Harry Thomas, Jack Roper, and Tony Musto. Offered here is a very scarce signed photo of George Brescia which he has dated September 28, 1936, eleven days before his fight with Joe Louis in New York.
