HISTORY: On June 10, 1935 at Clark Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C. lightweight Tony Canzoneri fought the world junior lightweight champion Frankie Klick in the featured bout. After 12 rounds Canzoneri won a split decision. The verdict was greeted with loud protests by the 10, 000 spectators, many of them Shriners attending their annual convention. The judges had disagreed, so referee Dempsey cast the deciding vote. (From Washington newspapers, Laurence Fielding). Offered here is an original full ticket for this event.
