HISTORY:  "Brooklyn" Jimmy Carroll was a middleweight boxer who fought from 1885 until 1894. Born in Brooklyn, New on July 16, 1865. During his career, he defeated such men as Mike Lucie, "Australian" Billy Smith, Billy McCarthy, Dick Collier, James "Ginger" McCormick and Jack Brady. Carroll died of blood poisoning in 1912. Offered here is an extremely rare, original John Wood Studio cabinet card of "Brooklyn" Jimmy Carroll.
