On June 12, 1953 at Madison Square Garden in New York lightweight champion Jimmy Carter defended his title against tough George Araujo. Araujo entered the bout an 8-to-5 favorite, but Carter stopped him in the 13th round in defense of his title. Offered here is an original, official program for this event.
