HISTORY: On December 20, 1963 at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh world welterweight champion Emile Griffith moved up to the middleweight division and took on hard punching contender, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter. It was a mistake. Carter hurt Griffith early in the first round, and put him down twice before the fight was stopped in the same round. Offered here is a very rare, original, on site poster for this event.
