On December 22, 1962 at Madison Square Garden in New York middleweights Rubin "Hurrican" Carter and Holly Mims met in an important divison matchup. Carter was put down in the 4th round, but arose to bang out a unanimous ten round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting Carter delivering a hard right to the nose of Mims.
