HISTORY: Cassius Clay won the Olympic Gold Medal in boxing at the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics. He defeated Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964 to win the World Heavyweight Title. He would become the first man to win that title three times. Changed his name to Muhammad Ali after defeating Liston. Presented here is an original wirephoto of Clay defeating Russia's Gennadiy Shatkov. It is a UPI photo.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This original wirephoto of Cassius Clay during the 1960 Olympics is 8" x 10." The corners are slightly soft and there are small creases in the upper left corner. There are some light marks from when the photo was used in print. No rips or tears.
