HISTORY: On September 30, 1937 at Duquesne Garden in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Billy Conn and Teddy Yarosz fought for the second time in three months. Conn had won a close split decision in June and that would be the same outcome in this fight with Conn winning a close 15 round split decision. Conn staged a dramatic rally in the last three rounds to win the decision. The verdict was very unpopular with the spectators, most feeling Yarosz had the edge on rounds won, on which basis the fight was judged. The official verdicts were 8-6-1 and 8-7 for Conn and 9-4-2 (Mastrean) for Yarosz.
