On December 29, 1903 at Mechanic's Pavilion in San Francisco featherweights Young Corbett II and Eddie Hanlon squared off in the main event. Corbett stopped Hanlon in the 16th round. Corbett defended his Featherweight World title at 130 lbs but Abe Attell is now recognized as the true World Featherweight champion at 122lbs. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph taken by the notable Dana Studios depicting the two fighters in the ring squaring off before the fight began.
