James J. Corbett was born on September 1, 1866 in San Francisco, California. He won the World Heavyweight Title from John L. Sullivan on September 7, 1892. He retired after losing to Jim Jeffries on August 14, 1903 with a final record of 11-4-2 with 2 no contests and 7 KO's. Presented here is an antique pinback of Corbett dating to his reign as heavyweight champion..
