HISTORY: On Friday, September 14, 1923 at the Polo Grounds in New York heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey met notable challenger Luis Firpo of Argentina with the title at stake. Both fighters were down in the fight and Dempsey survived being knocked out of the ring to come back and stop Firpo in the second round in defense of his title. One of the most exciting fights in boxing history. Offered here is a rare, original, souvenir mirror made for this event.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, souvenir mirror picturing both Dempsey and Firpo on the front. Encased in a bakelite type border. Mirror has some spotting, but not cracked. Images and print are bold and clear. Clean front. 2 1/8" diameter. Exceptionally rare, the only example we have seen.
