Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney are forever linked in fistic history. They fought two fights with Tunney coming out on top including the famous "Long Count" fight of 1927. Artist Joseph Golinken has captured the fierce competition between these two in this limited edition lithograph depicting Dempsey landing a vicious punch on Tunney. Although not numbered, this is a limited edition of 50. Joseph Webster Golinkin (September 10, 1896 – September 8, 1977) was an American artist. He won a gold medal in the prints category at the art competitions at the 1932 Summer Olympics for his Leg Scissors.
This is an original, limited edition lithograph by the notable Joseph Golinkin. Bold, clear image with some age spotting. Not creased or torn. 14.75" x 19" lithograph framed to 20" x 25". This particular work of Golinken is very limited and is signed by the artist. Circa 1927.
