On March 26,1974 George Foreman met Ken Norton for the Heavyweight Title.Foreman would easily beat Norton by TKO in the 2nd round in defense of his title setting up his fight with Muhammad Ali. Offered here is original cartoon art by Phil Bissell drawn the day of the Foreman-Norton fight raising the question could Foreman get past Norton for all that Ali money. Foreman answered that question quickly. Phil Bissell is a noted cartoonist who worked on many sports in a career highlighted by his work for the Boston Globe which included drawing the original New England Patriot Minuteman which became their logo.
This is original cartoon art by Phil Bissell drawn on March 26, 1973. It is signed by Bissell. It has a wonderful likeness of Muhammad Ali at the top. The artwork is on heavystock paper. Bold images and text. No creases, rips or tears. Generally clean. Nice content. 6 1/4" x 18."
