Joe Frazier was born on January 12, 1944 in Beaufort, South Carolina. He won the World Heavyweight Title on February 16, 1970 in a bout with Jimmy Ellis. He eventually lost the title to George Foreman on January 22, 1973. He retired after fight Floyd Cummings on December 3, 1981 with a final record of 32-4-1 with 27 KO's. Offered here is an original wire photograph of Joe Frazier with his trainer Yancy Durham and Dr. F.Bruce Baldwin, the founder of the Philadelphia boxing syndicate, Cloverlay, Inc., the group that backed Joe Frazier when he started his professional career.
