Bernie Friedkin was a Lightweight fighter from Brooklyn who compiled a record of 48-11-16 and was nicknamed "Schoolboy" for his boyish looks. Friedkin was born on March 16, 1915. He turned professional on April 22, 1935 with a knockout win over Angelo Mugnola. In his career Friedkin fought some of the important featherweight and lightweight fighters of the day including Kid Chocolate, Pete Scalzo, Al "Bummy" Davis and Mike Bellois. Friedkin retired after a loss to Charles Varre on December 9, 1940. He passed away on January 18, 2007 at the age of 91. Offered here is a signed photograph of Bernie Friedkin.
