FULLMER, GENE-DEL FLANAGAN ON SITE POSTER (1955)

On July 26, 1955 at the Civic Center in Butte, Montana future world middleweight champion Gene Fullmer fought Del Flanagan in an important division matchup. Fullmer prevailed and continued his path to the title winning a unanimous ten round decision. Offered here is an original, on site poster for this event.
This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which pictures both fighters. Beautiful, bold image of Fullmer. The Flanagan image has a tear and there is a water stain running through it top to bottom on the right side. Water stain at lower left border. Edge tears on top border. Tack holes in top corners. Not creased. Color an dprint still bold. 22" x 28." Rare poster, possibly unique.
