On April 1, 1949 at Madison Square Garden in New York future world welterweight champion Kid Gavilan fought world lightweight champion Ike Williams in the main event. These two fought two months earlier with Gavilan winning a majority decision. In this fight Gavilan again prevailed winning a unanimous ten round decision. Offered here is an original, official program for the event.
