GAVILAN, KID ORIGINAL PHOTO (DANCING)

Kid Gavilan of Cuba won the World Welterweight Title on May 18, 1951 defeating Johnny Bratton by 15 round decision. He successfully defended this title six times. He had victories over Carmen Basilio, Billy Graham, Beau Jack, Ike Williams, and Gil Turner. He retired in 1958 with a career mark of 107-30-6. Presented here is an original photograph of Kid Gavilan showing him dancing. This photo was taken in Cuba.
This original photograph depicts Kid Gavilan dancing. Circa 1950's. The photo was taken in Cuba. Stamped on reverse by Perna Studio. There is a small stain just outside Gavilan's image. There is a small tack hole on lower left side outside of image. Sharp and rare image. No creasing. 4" x 6".
