HOLMES, LARRY-ALFREDO EVANGELISTA ORIGINAL JUDGES SCORECARDS (1978)

HISTORY: On November 10, 1978 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas world heavyweight champion Larry Holmes defended his title against Alfredo Evangelista. In a dominant performance Holmes outclassed Evangelista and knocked him out in the 7th round. On the undercard junior lightweight champion Alexis Arguello defended his title winning a unanimous 15 round decision over Arturo Leon and heavyweight challenger ken Norton knocked out Randy Stephens in the 3rd round. Offered here are the original scorecards of judges Harold Buck, Duane Ford and Hal Miller for the Holmes-Evangelista fight. Each judge had Holmes dominating the fight winning all six rounds before stopping Evangelista in the 7th round.
