HISTORY: Larry Holmes was born on November 3, 1949 in Cuthbert, Georgia. He won the WBC Heavyweight Title from Ken Norton on June 9, 1978. He defeated Muhammad Ali on October 2, 1980 to win the World Heavyweight Title. Other career victories were posted over Ray Mercer, Gerry Cooney, Bonecrusher Smith and Mike Weaver.
Offered here is an original 1991 AW Boxing Hall of Fame card of Larry Holmes which he has boldly signed. From the collection of Tom Space, an amateur fighter himself, and was eventually very involved in the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame as both a member and Historian.
