HOLMES, LARRY SOUVENIR MATCHBOOK

Larry Holmes was born on November 3, 1949 in Cuthbert, Georgia. He won the WBC Heavyweight Title from Ken Norton on June 9, 1978. He defeated Muhammad Ali on October 2, 1980 to win the World Heavyweight Title. Holmes held the title for more than seven years. In his career he fought Mike Tyson, Michael Spinks, Earnie Shavers, Mike Weaver and Gerry Cooney. Offered here is a souvenir matchbook from the Commodore Inn in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania when Holmes was the owner.
