HISTORY: James J. Jeffries was born on April 15, 1875 in Carroll, Ohio. He won the World Heavyweight Title on June 9, 1899 from Bob Fitzsimmons. He retired after losing to Jack Johnson on July 4, 1910, his only loss, with a final record of 18-1-2 with 15 KO's. Presented here is an original first generation, antique wirephoto of Jeffries, Corbett and Choynski training for the fight with Johnson. The photo comes from the estate of fighter Johnny Obeck and has a raised Dana Studio stamp.                                                     

FULL DESCRIPTION: This original first generation, antique wirephoto of Jeffries, Corbett and Choynski is 6 1/2" x 8 1/2." The corners are slightly soft. Clean photo with no rips or tears.
