HISTORY: On June 27, 1914 in Paris, France world heavyweight champion Jack Johnson successfully defended his title winning a 20 round decision over Frank Moran. In April, 1932 in Boulder City, Nevada Johnson and Moran met again in an American Legion exhibition. Offered here is an original Police Gazette dated July 11, 1914 which pictures Jack Johnson on the cover and which has complete fight coverage inside.

Tight binding. Bold color and print. Back cover has a tear along top border with some paper loss which does not affect the text. Very minor creasing. 11" x 16 1/4." Rare, and as nice an issue as we have seen.
